NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ocean Hills Golf Club

Nominations are now being taken for OHGC officers and Board members. A list of Officer and Board positions is attached, along with a list of other committee chairs and support positions that are necessary to continue having a vibrant and thriving golfing experience at Ocean Hills.

The Golf club is the largest social club in the village. It organizes and conducts about one hundred golf events each year, and every one is done by volunteers. If you play Guys and Dolls, or the Buick or other special tournaments, or Touring Amateurs, or just play the Ladies or Men’s weekly tournaments, you benefit from the efforts of the volunteers.

Now is your chance to lend a hand so that we all can continue to enjoy the fun!

We will definitely have a vacancy in the Secretary position at the end of the year, and will urgently need to fill that important position. However, candidates for other officer and board positions are encouraged to place their names in nomination.

New blood and new ideas are always welcome! Also, volunteers for the various Committees and support positions are needed, particularly for the position of Chairman of the Special Tournaments Committee.

If you enjoy playing in the Pipes tourney, or the Rorick Buick Cadillac Hole-in-One Tourney, be aware that there will be no one to set these up for next year unless we get some help. If we get more than one volunteer for some of the committees, we will be able to divide up the job and make it easier for those doing the work.

Also, know that you will not be asked to do a job “cold turkey”. Advice and consul will be available from those who have previously held offices and committee spots. If you wish to pitch in and help the Golf Club, contact one of the nominating committee members listed below and let them know where you would like participate.
