Golf Course Committee Responsibilities

Introduction:

The Golf Course Committee is a standing advisory committee, appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Ocean Hills Board of Directors as addressed in the Committees Policy.

Purpose and Duties:

1. Monitor the golf course for safety hazards, proper maintenance, irrigation and playing conditions and forward any comments to the Landscape Manager.

2. Be familiar with the maintenance expectations of the golf course as outlined in any contractually-related Scope of Work.

3. Advise the Ocean Hills Board of Directors regarding matters affecting golf course maintenance, appearance, use and improvements.

4. Review proposals and make recommendations to the Ocean Hills Board of Directors regarding any modifications or improvements to the course facilities.

5. Annually review, with the Landscape Manager, the golf course maintenance contract.

6. Sit as a review board to hear matters relating to alleged violations of the OHCC Golf Course section of the "Handbook for Home Owners".

7. Other tasks as may be assigned by the Ocean Hills Board of Directors.

Meetings:

The Committee meets at the Clubhouse on the last Thursday of every month at 3pm.

Members of the Committee:

There are nine members of the Committee, plus a Ocean Hills Master Board Representative. Seven of the Committee are volunteers from the Golfing Community. The other two members are the Golf Course Superintendent and the Landscape Manager.
